Mr. Gabriel Mwaijande Paul is a Professional Civil Engineer and Assistant Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering with over five years of experience specializing in geotechnical site investigations, foundation design, laboratory soil testing, and numerical modeling using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
He has been actively involved in geotechnical analysis and design review of flood detention and riverbank protection systems within urban infrastructure projects. His consultancy portfolio includes geotechnical investigations for tailings storage facilities (TSFs), pile foundations for industrial storage plants, bridges, wetlands, and multi-storey buildings across Tanzania.
Mr. Paul’s research work focuses on unsaturated soil behavior, instrumentation for long-term soil moisture monitoring, and slope stability on cut slopes. His MSc dissertation on numerical modeling of soil-structure interaction in integral bridges was awarded with distinction at the University of Leeds, highlighting his advanced skills in Plaxis 2D/3D, GeoStudio, COMSOL, and other soil-structure analysis software.
He holds a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Leeds (UK) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Honours from the University of Dar es Salaam.
