Mr. Avit Leopard is an Environmental Engineer with more than four years of experience in environmental management, particularly within the mining and crude oil pipeline construction sectors.
He possesses specialized expertise in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), water quality management, integrated waste management, and environmental risk mitigation. His work includes the operation and monitoring of potable water treatment systems, soil bioremediation, biodiversity conservation during mining, and supervision of environmental compliance in national protected areas.
He has contributed to several high-impact projects, including roles as Environmental Officer at STAMIGOLD Biharamulo Mine and as Field Environmental Coordinator for the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) with China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd. He is also a registered Environmental Expert authorized to lead environmental studies and impact assessments, with practical involvement in project planning, environmental auditing, and stakeholder engagement.
Mr. Leopard is proficient in using environmental and engineering software such as AutoCAD and is experienced in environmental sampling, EMS implementation, and pollution control systems design.
He holds a BSc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Dodoma and a Diploma in Environmental Engineering and Management in Mines from the Mineral Resources Institute, Tanzania.
He is registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Graduate Environmental Engineer and certified by the National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) to conduct environmental and social impact assessments.
