Please read these terms carefully before using our Gold Price SMS Service

1. Service Description

GoldPrice SMS Service provides daily Tanzania gold price updates via SMS to subscribed customers. The service aims to deliver current market prices at approximately 8:00 AM Tanzania Time every day.

Important Note

While we strive to deliver gold price updates daily at 8:00 AM, we cannot guarantee 100% delivery on all days due to factors beyond our control including but not limited to data source delays, technical errors, or network issues.

2. Subscription and Payment

  • Subscription fee is TSh 1,000 per month, payable in advance
  • Payment is processed through mobile money services (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa, etc.)
  • Subscription automatically renews monthly unless cancelled
  • All fees are non-refundable once service has been activated

3. Refunds Policy

Refunds Policy

Due to the digital and instantaneous nature of our Gold Price SMS Service, all subscription fees are non-refundable.

Once payment is confirmed through AzamPay and your subscription is activated, the service begins immediately and we cannot recall the delivered SMS alerts. Therefore, we do not provide refunds for:

  • Subscription fees once service has been activated
  • Partial unused portions of subscription periods
  • User-initiated cancellations mid-billing cycle
  • Cases where users change their mind after subscription
Exception Process

If you believe there has been an error in billing or you are experiencing persistent technical issues preventing you from receiving our SMS alerts, please contact our customer support at info@ties.co.tz or +255 748 121 594. We will investigate the matter and, at our sole discretion, determine if a service credit or refund is appropriate.

4. Service Availability and Limitations

We commit to providing the GoldPrice SMS Service to the best of our abilities, but acknowledge the following limitations:

Service Limitations
  • Delivery Time: While we target 8:00 AM delivery, timing may vary due to data source availability or technical issues
  • Service Interruptions: Occasional service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical problems, or third-party service disruptions
  • Network Dependency: Delivery depends on mobile network operator services which may experience outages
  • Data Accuracy: We source data from reputable providers but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of gold prices

We will make our maximum efforts to maintain consistent service delivery and promptly address any issues that arise.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and current contact information
  • Ensure your mobile device can receive SMS messages
  • Maintain sufficient mobile network coverage
  • Notify us of any changes to your mobile number
  • Use the service in compliance with applicable laws

6. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting our customer service. Upon cancellation:

  • No further monthly charges will be applied
  • Service will continue until the end of your current billing period
  • Partial month refunds are not provided

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service for violation of these terms.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information. This section outlines what data we collect and how we use it to provide our Gold Price SMS Service.

  • Mobile Number: Your phone number to deliver gold price SMS alerts

How We Use Your Data:

  • To deliver daily gold price SMS alerts to your registered mobile number
  • To process subscription payments securely through AzamPay
  • To manage your account and provide customer support

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service during the month in which the issue occurred.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Significant changes will be communicated to subscribers via SMS or email.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
